25 Days of Christmas--Day 8--Cartoons

Day 8--Cartoons
This is where it gets hard. There are a ton of cartoons that are just classic and that we love to watch!! I'll try to name some of them and hope I remember most of them.
We have the Peanuts gang! They have a movie for pretty much every holiday and it just wouldn't be Christmas without this one.
The Grinch. We love how the story rhymes. Dr Seuss is genius at that and the change of heart is awesome!
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer! I also thought Santa was so mean in this version and that monster was so scary, but I still love it. Tradition!

Frosty the Snowman. I love Frosty!! This show brings back some great memories.
The California Raisins Christmas special--I love that dumb bell. Some favorite songs done in a cool way.
Mickey's Christmas Carol. Another version, Disney style, of Scrooge.
And my very, very favorite!!
Bedtime for Sniffles. A 1940 cartoon about a little mouse who tries so hard to stay away on Christmas Eve night.

Once again, too many great cartoon!!

25 Days of Christmas--Day 7--Family Movies

Day 7--Family Movies
There are some Christmas movies that we love to watch as a family, year after year. There are so many that are a lot of fun, but some are just...tradition!
Here are some of our favorites:

The Polar Express. When I was pregnant with Bedums and so very, very sick, my parents took Buggins for a week to help out and he saw this show while there. He became obsessed!! He wanted to watch it every, single day. We love the story, the music, the way this movie is animated, the characters, etc. It's a definite holiday favorite that we watch at least twice.

Buddy the Elf. Haha. This show is funny and provides laughs for the whole family. We love how childlike Buddy is and the way he softens his family. Great fun.

"You'll shoot your eye out, kid!" This movie has so many fun quotes and parts--the leg lamp, tongue stuck, Randy rolling on the ground because he can't get up, eating soap, radio programs, Chinese Christmas dinner, mumbling and grumbling--bad words, Santa at the mall, etc. We love it!

My kids love this one. They can't imagine figuring all that stuff out to thwart some bad guys, but this kid does and they have fun watching the bumbling buffoons.

It's fun to get a little more in depth with the Grinch. Why is he the way he is? Well, this movie shows us why. Great characters!!

As I mentioned before, I love this song and the movie is a lot of fun, too. I love the sisters and the romances that blossom. I love the characters and the music.

The true meaning of Christmas. The real reason why we celebrate. This movie is very touching and really helps us remember why we even have this holiday.

There are so many great movies!!
