A Few Other Things....

Just a few other fun things that have happened this summer (so far):
*Kristen had her dance recital
*The next day, Jarren had a field trip to the zoo and I was lucky enough to tag along as a parent helper to 5 boys.
*We got to go see Toy Story 3 and we all loved it!!
*I went to Youth Conference this week and that stress is over with. It was a lot of fun, but was quite stressful because we found out just a few weeks before we went that the place we were going to had backed out. We had to re-plan the whole thing. Yikes!

Jenna's Bruise

On Thursday night, I was sitting on the couch and Jenna was standing right next to me. She lifted her leg up, lost her balance, and fell---right into the cedar chest! She managed to hit her ear on the corner and it immediately bruised!! I tried to get some pictures, but they don't show up too well. She was in so much pain and it didn't help that somehow it cut the backside of her ear and it was bleeding. She's also bruised on the backside of the ear and her head right there around it. Ouch!!!

North Carolina

Jon and Kendall went on a trip to North Carolina and Virginia at the end of May. They had a great time! I'll have to get one of them to give more details about the trip, but here are some pictures. I do know that they spent two days on the ocean and on the second day, the water was very rough and they were both pretty sea sick, especially Kendall.

Summer Is....

Camping!!!
Even if it is only in the backyard. :) My uncle gave us a tent for the kids to play with and they had soooo much fun setting it up and playing in it. Kristen and Jenna even tried to sleep in it one night, but it got too cold for them.

Summer Is.....

A Lemonade Stand!!
Kristen and two of her good friends decided to have a lemonade stand. They spent a lot of time planning it and then finally were able to all get together to pull it off. They were good little sales girls and sold quite a lot and had a fun time doing it.

Camera Woes---again

We can't find the cord to our camera, so it's kind of hard to get the pictures off. Argh! Where oh where can it be?! Stay tuned....it's been a fun, busy month.

Bangs

The last time I had bangs was when I had Kristen. I grew them out right after she was born and swore I'd never get them again. But....I've been thinking that maybe some long swoopy bangs would be fun. So when Kristen asked to get them, I requested that she wait until after her end-of-the-year dance recital to do it. She ended up getting about 4 inches off her hair too. She loves it and I think she looks adorable!!! So many changes in that girl in the last month--hair, glasses, etc.

Speaking of changes...we just measured Kendall and he's now 5'1 1/2" tall--just barely over and inch to go until he passes me up. :(
