Gratitude "H" Day

Today I'm thankful for a home to live in. A house with heat, air conditioning, enough room for all of us, and a shelter from the elements. We've lived here for over 12 years now and as we've added to our family and the kids are growing, I sometimes think that we're outgrowing our home, but it really is enough for us and we love it so much.

"G" is for Gratitude

Today I'm grateful for the gospel. My life is blessed and made so much better because of the things I am taught and the way I believe. I have true hope, faith, and happiness because of it.

Gratitude "F" Day

Of course, I'm soooo very grateful for my family. For ALL of my family--husband, children, pets, parents, siblings, in-laws, out-laws, cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, close friends, etc. Without family, I would be nothing because they help me feel hope, happiness, stress, pride, sorrow, rejoicing, love, support, confidence, etc etc etc.

Day "E" for Gratitude

Today I'm grateful for the evening. I love evening--the family is usually all together and we're tired and wrapping things up for the day. I love to snuggle in and read with the kids and get into my warm, cozy bed and take a deep breath. I also love to see the sky at twilight--sunsets, the first star appearing, the purply color of the sky. I love it!! We have so much beauty around us and I love to enjoy it all.

Gratitude "D" Day

This is seriously harder than I thought it would be!! To find ONE thing per letter to be grateful for? I could go on and on and on with some letters, so I'm just going to pick something and run with it. Today, I'm thankful for doctors. I think I probably would have died at least a couple of times with the help and care of a doctor. Pregnancy wasn't kind to me, especially with my last two babies. I got to the point of being so sick and dehydrated, I couldn't even keep a little sip of water down. Without medical care, how long could I have lasted without any food or water at all??

I'm also getting older--every day, I get another day older, much to my dismay. Earlier this year, I went in for a routine checkup and my doctor wanted me to get some routine tests done. A long story short, after many tests and appointments, I was diagnosed with Graves' Disease this last summer. Fortunately, the name sounds worse than the disease really is, but it's been a struggle trying to get things under control and deal with it. I'm just grateful to live in a time when things like this can be treated.
