After receiving the call, missionaries and families often begin their search for specific information on that mission. Until now, there has not been a centralized site to learn about the culture and people of each mission area. On October 1st, 2013 Deseret Book Company will launch an online missionary website, MissionHome.com. MissionHome.com focuses on each phase of missionary service—prepare, serve and return. It includes helpful hints to prospective missionaries including tips for how to pack efficiently and how to prepare to leave as well as inspiring and authentic experiences from former missionaries. A complete mission directory, created by missionaries who themselves have served in that area, provides information about local customs, food, transportation, safety, and many other insights.

Rockets
Last night, the Cubs did rockets for pack meeting. This is a fun, annual tradition!! They get a PVC pipe and wrap copy paper around it and tape it. Try pull the tube out, after folding down and taping the tip. They add wings to it and they're ready to go. It was super windy, which helped sometimes and hindered at other times. What a fun night!!

Costume Fun
Buggins is going crazy with costumes. He wants me to make a Link (from Zelda) costume and he wants it done last week. We've slowly been looking for stuff to go with it...and looking at things just for fun. He's sure having fun with it this year!

Jog-A-Thon
The younger two kids had a Jog-a-Thon fundraiser at their school today. It was cold, windy, and a little sprinkly, but they did it and had fun!! I think I like this type of fundraiser--one day and done. It was fun to help out and cheer the kids on.

Good Luck Friday the 13th!!
Bedums was using her mouth to hold a blanket while getting off the trampoline. When she took the blanket out, she noticed something funny in her mouth. She spit it out and it was a tooth!! Yay!! She finally, finally, finally lost her very first tooth ever!! A very exciting day, for sure.
